Resources - FTP

The MOST has a small number of files available for download from our site. the majority of these files support other aspects of our services, but we do have a few utilities (etc.) that we didn't create and don't use in any of our services, but still make available here.

Support Files for MOST Courses

Essence of C

We have two formats of the materials for this 'course' available for download. Clicking on the links for either of them will cause your browser to download a complete copy of the materials in the selected format. See the EoC Course section of the site for details on using them, or for access to an HTML version.

  1. Word 5.1 format. This version of the document is formatted for printout on US Letter paper at 80% Scaling (Reduce/Enlarge), and is styled as a companion piece for the book "Macintosh C".
  2. PDF format

MOST Power Plant Beginner (MPPB)

Participants in the MPPB course have access to an advance copy of Metrowerk's PP Book as part of their participation in this exercise. This is a password protected archive, so only participants in this exercise will benefit from downloading it. Those who do so are asked to respect MW's request that it not be distributed further. You may access it via anonymous FTP at ftp.mcf.com/aimed/most/courses/mppb/PPBook.pdf.sit

Misc. Utilities

Balloony - This utility helps the developer implement balloon help in her/his application.

Co-motion - This application allows groups to participate in net based discussions. It functions much like a chat program, but with additional features. This application is shareware for general use, but its author has granted members of The MOST permission to use it for MOST-related activities even if they don't otherwise register it.
