Resources

Welcome to the MOST Resource Center

If you know of a "resource" that is of bona fide value to Mac OS developers, please send information about it in an email to radar with subject line reading "MOST Resource". We'll check into it and if it meets our posting criteria (listed below), we'll have it listed ASAP (which is NOT the same as "immediately" :-).

Posting Criteria

There are many Mac OS related products that you won't see listed in this section of The MOST. Our focus is on resources for Mac OS developers, not the entire range of Mac OS products. This means that graphics packages, games, word processors, audio processing software, spreadsheets - and similar products which we all USE, but NOT directly in our capacity as developers - will not be covered here (although the exact place where the line is drawn will probably change over time to include a few of the above). Similarly, although we all dearly love the Mac OS itself, "advocacy" or "general info about the platform" products are also not part of our focus, and will therefore ALSO not be listed herein. What we WILL focus on is pretty narrow: i.e products, services, and technical/business information that relates directly to producing and/or distributing commercial quality Mac OS software.

We do *NOT* accept paid adverstisements, but will generally post information about commercial products if we know them to be of value to Mac OS developers AND well supported. Our goal is to help publicize useful resources for Mac OS developers, but we won't post pointers to products or services of questionable or unproven worth. In general, the products/services listed herein will be the ones that our members have actually used and feel comfortable personally recommending, though exceptions will be granted from that criteria to products of unquestionable value which we just don't happen to have needed for ourselves. Input from all members will be used to suggest possible products for listing, but radar pangaean makes the decisions about what will/won't be posted here and reserves the right to reject any submission for any reason of his own choosing.

The following categories indicate the range of resources that we will point to here. As of 98/07/16 i have placed a few example entries in most of the categories. These are REAl examples, but hardly comprise a comprehensive list. Submissions for additional entries are encouraged. Please indicate the category in which you would like them included.
